The upper animas feature some of the most challenging whitewater rapids in North America dropping nearly 85 ft per mile.  The additional day allows you time to explore historical Weminuche Wilderness area for hiking, fishing camping and a taste of our spectacular food at our wilderness camp at 9,000 plus ft.  The rafting follows the same itinerary as the one day upper Animas with above stated added features. All upper Animas trips meet 30 minutes prior to departure.

This 12 mile section is reserved for experienced whitewater rafters, because of the steep descents, extreme cold water, and remote wilderness area that this river descends through, promoting rapids in class four and five category.  This wild and scenic river has unbelievable scenery, abundant wildlife including trophy elk and mule deer, black bear, eagles, peregrine falcons, and playful river otters.

This 23-mile whitewater adventure combines both the upper and lower boxes with an overnight experience at wilderness camp.  As one paddles through this canyon the walls exceed a 1,000 ft. as you experience heart pounding rapids and some of the biggest drops available in the entire state of Colorado.   This pristine wilderness area and thrilling whitewater is a must see adventure.  The food  and this spectacular river will leave you hungering for more.
